The Surf Butler

This is my good friend Joe Dedic of Dana Point, featured in today's (8/1) OC Register on the cover of the business section. A man of many trades, from music promotion to art framing to the hotel industry, is seen here surfing in a tux. "The Surf Butler" is a branded surf instructor service for hotels to offer their guests. Making beginners feel at ease in the line-up, if they happen to drop-in on someone else's wave, they can simply point to Joe and say, "hey, the butler did it."

Mr Robbie Wood is this friend I know from college. He owns his own record label, Noc On Wood Records. And this is Nocturnal Rage featuring the one and only Rick James. That's right. Super Freak. And what many may find surprising is that Rick James and Neil Young became good friends playing on the Toronto music circuit together back in the day. Anyways, Robbie raps in this video too. Sid V's Carpet Barn was born on July 16th, 2003. A historic day in basketball, that no doubt, as Bill Walton would proclaim with ease, will go down in the annals of NBA history, as the Lakers officially signed the Glove and the Mailman to play with Kobe and Shaq.

Talk about unfair. I can only look forward with utter anticipation to be despised by every other NBA city in the league, meanwhile cheering on my Dream Team, much like a New Yorker would his Yankees.
